Niasaya Kafele is not just a counselor, but someone deeply committed to your well-being. She holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Gardner-Webb University, an institution known for excellence in counseling education. Accredited by CACREP, this program has equipped her with the finest skills. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from McDaniel College, Nia brings a holistic perspective to her practice. She’s spent over nine years in community and residential facilities, helping adults with diverse mental health challenges. Her expertise covers anxiety disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, trauma-related issues, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.

Nia’s specialty lies in PTSD and trauma/stressor-related disorders. She’s undertaken rigorous training and supervision under renowned professionals in this field. Her approach to counseling is integrative, addressing your mental health, spirituality, physical wellness, and social connectedness. She combines various therapeutic methods, including EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapies, Person-Centered Therapy, DBT, Somatic Embodiment Training, and CBT.
